I normally don't do this on this forum, but it has been an epic growth over the last month for my grip and hook grip. My max deadlift at beginning of August with alternating grip was 475, and today I hit 465 with an overhand hook grip. Pretty stoked and couldn't help but share.

Re: OT: Overhand Hook Grip Deadlift (WARNING: Half-naked man ahead :P)
I don't lift any more, and I really should, but it cuts into my drinking. I used to 300+ on deadlifts like that, and towards the end all I ever did was about six exercises. Dead lift, squats, bench, bent over row, and clean and jerk.
However, I never once mooned an entire forum full of old guysDon't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.

Keep on gripping, I hear you start to use those sally straps...
If you find the grip strength is your limitation, spend a couple hours a week walking around holding the 45# plates between your fingers. That is what the phone book rippers do to get their grip up there. That, and cheat.Don't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.
