      That's it, "classic sunburst", while mine is more of a "tobacco burst".

        Okay- I recall that one now.

        Mark- I think it would work, but the red won't take a lacquer atop, just so you remember.
        It has to be an acrylic topcoat to be safe from alteration.

        If that doesn't look right, Valspar made a trans-red that is for plexiglass that *might* work.

        Give it a go!

              Gave this a test run today, actually took some pics - which I will have to load, but not getting off the couch at the moment :p

              Less is more, I learned. Ended up having to add some ebony stain, had a little to much brown. Also Gaelen has skills! makes it look simple.
