  • Ah Man, I might just build a pair of Wolf's design :P

With the little round Beston's the DOTD today and I already have a pair of RS125-4's from the PE tent sale last summer ($12 each), I might just build someone else's design for a change. His Stances seem to be a cool design that many have liked. I already have some of the XO parts in my bin, so for less than a $100 dollars for the Beston's, the missing XO parts, and wood..... why not :D

Think you'll build the boxes the same way? Either way i'm sure you will not be disappointed.

Don't forget the kitty-litter-loaded panels. Good luck with that one.

I would use a pattern of your choice, and use a router with a bull-nose bit and route the same pattern on the inside of both adjacent panels. This will be easier than using a drill and such by hand like I did.

              It's really not that hard....

                      Ego? Heh..

I only use Formica because I have a stash of sink cutouts that machine very nicely for baffles and look very good.

I have a small sheet of quartersawn Sapele that is meant for the final cabs for the Propensity project if I ever get arround to finish it.
I don't abhor it- just have never done it.

You should at least like the color as it's close to that of Cheeseville.

I doubt any 4.5" driver would like that song uncompressed at a moderate volume level.

I'll make sure Matt brings the CD along....

Another good one is Glenn Frey's "The All-Nighter". My MFSL Half-Speed Master of "Hotel California" has greater dynamics than the CD version, and it's a work-out for speakers, amps, tonearms, cartridges, and stylii. When things are RIGHT, the kick drum after the twin guitars' intro, you can tell he's using a soft felt pedal on a double-headed kick-drum with a mute and it doesn't go "THUD-THUD". It sounds suspiciously like a Ludwig drum with real goatskin heads, tuned to "E". It's a very large size too, maybe a 42". I'm not good enough at "trap sets" to ID the speed pedal, although I could make some very good guesses.

Hey Brian, a bunch of us think the drummer with Procol Harem (and WhiteHorse) was the best Rock drummer of all time. What's your take? I KNOW nobody could make a Hammond B-3 with a Leslie "sing" like their keyboard guy, although my late friend Johnny Pickup could play that organ solo SO close to the original, it'd make your skin crawl. He delivered wholesale flowers by day and tunes by night. Victim of the bad white thang...:(
