    Re: Do I need Psychotherapy?

Friday night my wife jumped from the coach when The Sea and Sinbad's Ship (Rimsky-Korsakov) was followed by Cowboys from hell (Pantera).
My music collection is quite varied and going random with the server can be quite odd.

I have a (relatively large) playlist on my computer with my favorites of: Yoko Kanno (JPOP), Journey, Dr. Dre, Sting, Van Halen, Metric, John Williams, and Billy Joel.

If you need therapy, I suppose I need commited.

Love the list! Many of the same titles pass through my queue from time to time.

Although, I can think of is question number 1 on Tommy Boy's history exam... :p
Don't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.

Your fine...I can easily go from Bela Fleck to Helmet to Alanis Morissette to Slayer to some easy jazz compilation. To me as long as it satisfys me its all good. Most everything I listen to has high "musicianship" standards applied, sorry no half a55ed wanna bes here, sir!!

That's nothing you should see my Pandora list. A typical evening might include Celtic harp, Holst, Richard Strauss, Johnny Cash, The English Beat, Canadian folk music in French, Judy Collins, Lucky Dube, The New Christy Minstrals, Kate Bush, Lee Hazelwood, Les Baxter, and Dick Dale. As Johnny Cash sang, " I've been everywhere man".

Jeff, there might be many here among us who do this. I might run with Robin Trower or Triumvirat, then some Haydn piano or Mascagni, then some Stacey Kent, Tim Weisberg, Nektar, Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson, film music by Jerry Goldsmith or Bernard Herrmann, Grandes Heures Liturgique from Notre Dame, Mass by Bernstein, back to the Doors or Iron Butterfly, on and on...

(I just found out on Sunday that my wife never heard of Meatloaf! :eek

"relentless yodelling and accordioning"? I bow to you, sir. I feel much more normal now. ;)

No MeatLoaf? Is she just too young? What happened?

Wouldn't it have been cool if there was another artist named "Mashed Potatoes" that could have opened for him?

Triumvirat - Wow, that brings back memories. I don't have them in digital, but back in the day I had a couple of LP's. That's good stuff.

I've not bought or owned a CD in years. Putting my Library on random really gets some odd combos, though.

She sang along to both happy as a clam, I came away seriously confused.

Heavy rap and the Dixie Chicks - two things I don't have. I may be sane afterall.

I like to collect albums. I usually "pirate" music and if I like it I try to find and buy the cd. So it really isn't so much pirating as it is sampling.
