similar mix here, then add add some old and newer Maricahi/Ranchera and Tejano Mexican music. Every once in a great while I add some of my Dad's music he brought back from when we lived overseas back in the 60s n 70;s

    Re: Do I need Psychotherapy?

My playlist has grown since I've been improving my listening equipment. Songs that may have been OK, at best, in the past take on a different light when played on better speakers through a better amp. It's not that my older equipment was bad; Pioneer SX-780, Pioneer PL-600, and JBL L40s. I just listen more critically because I'm looking to see what I can and can't hear in the speakers. Building my own causes me to evaluate them harder than non-DIY. Plus, some of the music played at the few DIY shows I've attended has given me reason to search for different music. Now, add Pandora and HD Tracks and I've always got something tickling my fancy for new music. Oh, and of course there's Bryan Keene suggesting new music...

After reading the rest of this thread, I've come to realize the folks here at PETT love good music. Doesn't matter the genre, if it's good, we'll listen to it. Probable the same type of people who take a sensible approach to the world and try to leave it a little better than we found it.

Listening to my entire collection on shuffle would be enough to drive someone to schitzophrenia for sure. I've been known to go from Ozzie, to ABBA, to Modest Mouse, to Tupac, to Nora Jones, to Slayer, to Fernando Ortega, to Jars of Clay, to Al Green in the same playlist. I'm not a huge rap fan at all, but every now and then I like to hear Tupac, California Love or Ice Cube, Today Was A Good Day; just to name a couple.

I love a LOT of different music. Someone hear posted 2 German girls singing something in German a year or so ago, don't remember who they were or the band name but it was good.

I'd skip therapy and get a music server.

I'm definitely on board with that! I'm another one that hasn't played a CD in years, although I still have a couple hundred to rip. Do physically play the SACDs and Blu Ray audio from the Oppo though. My collection is pretty wide ranging, although there's no Rap or Dixie Chicks.

Since the late 90's, my tastes in music have become extremely restricted. Very little appeals to me, what does, I like a lot. But follow-up albums I rarely like.

I thought I was the only male on the planet to dig that Donna Lewis CD. I played that one relentlessly in high school. The emotion drips from that album, with production so deep you can swim in it. I think I could listen to that entire stack actually.

My own collection is pretty esoteric too. Recent plays: Adiemus, Eric Johnson, Killswitch Engage, Klute, Rush, Z-Trip.
