There have been threads about favorite recordings for evaluating speakers.

This isn't one of those.

This is a thread of stuff you're just discovering. It doesn't have to be new music, just stuff you have recently (let's say within the last six or so months) added to your collection, that you really like.

Now so much new, but I sometimes listen to Nataly Dawn. Her solo work is IMO much better then when she was with Pomplamoose. The quality of the music and video production has gone up. I've never actually bought anything of hers yet, but I might buy a vinyl pressing soon. Not to bash Pomplamoose, but they did a lot of covers (some rather good), but I think most of the stuff they did was more relaxed and almost playing a little. Her solo work seems more serious and her style over all seems blues and jazz influenced.

Another new(is) thing I've been listening too is The Piano Guys. They do all covers as far as I know. Some of their stuff is not serious at all, and others are more serious covers.

Bobby McFerrin. Yes, the Don't Worry, Be Happy guy. ;)

I read an article about him and it discussed how he layers his own vocal effects up to 40 times on a CD and how he's gained a whole lot of notoriety and respect from other artists for his talents for vocal and conducting ability. So, I went and downloaded all of his stuff and purchased his new album recently. I must admit, it was 'different', but man is it really cool.

Also digging the Lake Street Dive vid. Also, pretty sure I hooked up cable for the white house visible behind the bassist. Most of the work I did for Comcast was in the Allston/Brighton area.
