As someone who likes Phish I guess I'm confused. It's not like the video is mimicing or exaggerating or making fun of how they actually sound. There are a lot of ways to make fun of the band, but this one makes no sense.

More like what phish sounds like to people who've never heard phish.

Why is the drummer wearing a dress?

The idea here is that you hear exactly what you see.

I saw the "Creed Shreds" videos a few years back. I laughed til I cried. It's just one of those things that you either "get" or you don't.

But yeah, the idea is that you're hearing a representation of exactly what the video shows. It's not really commentary on the band itself.

                      LMAO!
(its just so dumb ya have to love it, though you don't need to watch all 6 minutes)

Reminds me of the old joke -
"What did the Grateful Dead fans say after they ran out of drugs?"

                      "Man, this band sux!"

..maybe this is something like what they saw.

The Rammstein is very clever (and concise).

                      Happy 4th!

My son and his friends were watching this Santana shreds video last year, I saw it and laughed until I cried:

First of all, I LOVE these videos. That StS guy (the who I'm pretty sure started all this) is a genius. The John Williams one is new to me, though, and having been through plenty of elementary school band concerts, I find this one insanely funny.
