    Re: Digger 8 build

I realize this is an old thread but we get quite a few inquiries about the 12" PR's from it yet. We had not kept these in stock for quite some time as they were not a high demand item. We do currently have some in stock as a few were ordered and we built up some extras. They are available if anyone needs them.

I was wondering if Tom would be open to sending it directly too him but then it would mean paying for shipping twice :(

GREAT link, thanks! What the hell is the 'Apollo' upgrade?!

As far as a group buy I would love too but cannot afford to do so right now. But I could use two of them!

Maybe we could get a discount as well?

Also, is the AE PR really a *physical* straight drop in? Does it mount the same and everything? I was going to ask the same guy you got to CNC the cabinet but didn't know if the AE PR would mount the same.

If I wanted to upgrade to the AE PR, can someone confirm that the 12-970 is the right one? And how much mass is required or is it correct "out of the box"?
Johnny (Digger8 designer) actually did the calculations and he came up with the AE 12 inch PR 970 weight. So you will not need to add a thing. Just drop in and screw down in place. The nice thing about the AE PR is that they make to order.

That said I would highly suggest the AE PR. Dont waste your time money and effort on the Dayton. I had issues the other night with the Dayton. I was watching X-MEN first class and the big explosion at the end of the movie caused the massive 20 once's of washers to hit the brace. So just go with the AE PR, I think you will be much happier.
