Those small changes won't be audible Mike, even if they measure slightly different. For those of us that are retentive, in a particular way, it may need to be perfect. but not necessary.

Awesome thAnks! This is very tempting i've wanted to try a ribbon for a long time. Relatively inexpensive build and a smaller cabinet than I'm used to making so it should go quicker. Although, doing 2-3 builds at once is a lot to take on! My numbers are gonna get jumbled!

I was shocked at how much bass I got from this speaker. The MLTL works very well. The ribbon works very well also. You will enjoy this speaker.

Sorry for all these questions but i didnt see this in the write up. Are the woofers surface mounted and tweeter recessed on the TMM version? The picture of the actual speaker looks like all drivers are surface mounted without recesses but i know the TM version has recessed ribbon and surface mounted woofer.

In the picture on Paul's write up it looks like all of the drivers are half recessed

Mike, I would definitely recess (flush mount) the tweeter, and would probably recess the woofers as well.

In the original speedster, Paul flush mounted the tweet and slightly overlapped the woofer. I believe the tmm is the same.

I've ordered everything to build a pair of these too. They will be my first ever speaker build. Now, I'm a big fan of how the B&W CM8 S2 look and am thinking of making them in a similar fashion, so basically just a tall box with straight edges, so no mitered or rounded edge on the baffle. I've been reading about mitered and rounded edges on baffles and there seems to be no clear answer to whether or not this will affect the listening experience. Can anyone tell me if in this design it would make an audible difference?
I'm adding a grill (because I have tiny energetic nephews and nieces, but also because I like how it looks) that's 8mm thick and was thinking of rounding the front facing edges of that instead (with a 8mm radius). It would basically just be a cloth covered wooden frame, held tightly in place by magnets. My theory is that should have a similar effect (albeit much smaller since the radius would only be 8mm). If there was an audible difference, would that help alleviate it at all?
