Me too. No doubt the end results will be absolutely beautiful. Roman is one of the very few here who combine advanced speaker design skills AND professional-level cabinet making.

Thanks for the kind comments guys!
Vifa midwoofer makes this build fairly straightforward.
A friend of mine donated a bit of leftovers of premium quality black leather. So, instead of Ultrasuede I'll use that.
The plan on Walnut burl side panels remains the same.

I'm confused. What sides are getting leather and what sides are getting walnut?

starting to shape up. Next, I'll be finishing the veneer on the edges of the side panels, installing the drivers and of to the crossover.
The leather now covers driver cutouts. It will be cut later on.

It's starting to look like it should be in a fine furniture mag.

I LOVE the way Roman gets veneer to look some of his cabinets are amazing. I am also sure it will sound nice.

Is your wife using them with the pc build I did for you?

Yes, Phil, this is for the gaming rig you build for me and Mrs. I am redoing the desk and integrating the speakers. PC runs cool and trouble free BTW. Excellent build.

so the side panels are done and I've decided to go with Oil finish. This is the first coat of Waterlox exterior. I'll build up with it and finish with Waterlox interior satin.
No reason to rush. Crossover is not modeled yet so I have ample time.

So far, so good, she likes the look.
Exterior because it builds up faster and I have it already. It's also clear gloss, so the translucency is not compromised.
