I put a big 45 degree chamfer on the MT cabinets and started putting on the oil finish. I got tracking on the router bit I ordered to do the tweeter rebates with and it's shipped from Salt Lake City so I'm hopeful I'll get it early next week. Did I tell you I love the monster Bosch router I found at the pawn shop for $80. It's a joy to work with.
If we all reacted the same way, we'd be predictable, and there's always more than one way to view a situation.
What's true for the group is also true for the individual. It's simple: Overspecialize, and you breed in weakness.
It's slow death.
I did the cutouts for the binding post plates and now I'm sanding sanding sanding..... I hope UE is easy to set up since the weekend is coming and I'll have to probably load up Thursday night. Wednesday morning they're going to start tearing up the street so I probably won't have quiet in the daytime to measure.
I am now waiting for the post that someone is designing and building their speakers at the event I am in the process of modifying a travel bag for my speakers to be under the oversize bag dimensions.
Ron - Worst case scenario you can perhaps tune UE at the hotel?? There will be lots of ears at the informal listening session on Friday night.
That's not how UE works. At any rate I've had experience with SE measurements and have an idea how UE gets configured. The speakers are going together and hopefully I'll be ready to measure something tomorrow night. The router bit I needed came this afternoon. I did accidentally put a vent in the woofer cab drilling a small hole in the back panel from the inside. So please don't look at the backs when I bring them to Grinnell.
I'd recommend running MSE instead of anything you pay for. I'm about ready to burn Norton's HQ down because they've charged me 2 years in a row and I told them last time to delete my account.
