    Re: Grinnell or Bust

I think you both deserve to be in the drawing as well. We can have an impartial participant drawing names to eliminate any uncomfortable feeling you may be experiencing. This event doesn't happen this year without your efforts and you deserve to be in the raffle, just like the rest of us!

+1 guys. no reason from any of our perspectives that you can not be in the drawing.

I'd like to see you guys be in the running. I know it would feel weird pulling you own name from the hat, but maybe someone can figure out how to do this.

I agree as well. If people that have not even entered a speaker can win, you two sure as hell can too.

If everyone's name is in a hat, or box, or barrel, how can there be any possibility of impropriety? I say you both should absolutely be in the drawing(s), you've both worked way too hard to not enjoy some of the perks.

See you in a few weeks!

More progress. I have veneer on the front's, tops, and bottoms of 3 of 4 boxes, bracing is in and the cherry hardwood trim is close to where I want it so I can start the sides. The big boxes were wrapped with a 74" long piece of veneer made from two pieces taped together and ironed on. Next time I wrap something in veneer I'm going to leave a little more overhang on the edges. 10 3/8" wide veneer doesn't leave much room for error on a 10" wide panel.

I wasn't advocating prize hoarding, more like acknowledging the fantastic work the guys have done in lining up sponsors and prizes. Cheryle has come to these events before and now it's time to introduce my son to this. He's moderately interested in what we're doing...well, at least when I can break him away from the video games anyway.

Yeah, but the must be present to win is an issue for my navigator.

You guys who get two's need to share, or let or organizers get some love.

Fill up your car with peeps, cuz it's looking like there's about two door prizes per person. WTG, JR and Bryan!

At the DIY in Chicago a few years ago some of the wives picked up some of the top door prizes IIRC. My wife might make the trip this time.

My guess is that your wife is every bit as charming as you are! She'll love it and be at all the shows in the future.

Yea,,,, I'm biased,,, but really, what's not to like? Nice people and good music.

    As Mwerner would say,,,, HAGD
