I hope you were being sarcastic about yours paling in comparison. It was how awesome your red metallic paint looked that inspired me to try the blue metallic.

Maybe I was a tad sarcastic, but your paint job is nicer. I used a metallic red over a hammered black to get what I have there. I didn't even flush mount my woofers!!

If I recall, I think I mentioned the font prior, but I can look it up again if need be. 'Laser-thin' is the name of the material they print it on, but it's more of a laser-engraving. It peels off of a paper, pre-adhesived.

I'll give you dimensions, and the font when I get a chance....

Pretty sure the font is Brushed Script. W7 calls it something else. Brush455 or something.
The 455 version the r is different.

The trophy shop I use uses Corel software for the engraving setup, so maybe that will help you.

Sundays are good for me so long as my work schedule doesn't change, but I don't have a Sunday free until after the new year. Jan 5th is probably my first available option for another get together.

That would work for me too. Sunday afternoons would be best. The 5th is the first Sunday after I get back from Christmas vacation with my family in California. But should be doable.

I can bring Wolfs Sophomores, Minions III, my variation of the Lil'Brits, Tritrix MLTL and MT and if I can fit them in my car Antey24s. I have a number of NS6 designs in process, but won't have them complete by then.

I suppose I feel inclined to state that the W3 used in the Minion III was not around when I built my PC's. It represents a very good bargain, and the performance is very good for the price. I heard them in something Brian Powers did about 4 years ago. You can find his project somewhere and all it involves is a simple notch on the cone breakup- just give it a shot. I built the PC back in 2004 or 2005....

No worries mate!

It's not that your PC speakers, or Paul's Sprite sound bad. It was that Leroy and myself were blown away that his sounded so good. Maybe you can pick up a couple drivers and see what magic you could work with them? They sounded pretty nice especially as desktop PC speakers as long as you had a sub to fill in the sub 100Hz range.

Lee was even thinking of trying out a ported version...

Found the build you were referring to Wolf. It looks like if someone wants to build a slightly larger ported enclosure and add a notch filter, Brian Powers already designed a full range speaker using this same driver a couple years ago. Here is the link to his design.

Oh no, no offense taken or implied, guys. Just stating that I built these a LONG TIME ago. Very well could be that the specs have even changed enough
that they are not the same anymore from the more recent production runs. There are lots of reasons that they could have been 'less than
expected' by comparison.

I have been doing some modeling with BassBox Pro of the PC, Minion III, and W3-926S speakers in 4-5" interior cubes. They all seem to have a pretty significant drop starting at 6khz and up. Is the purpose of the cap in the PCs to compensate for that?

No. It boosts the bass a bit by altering the Q of the bottom end rolloff. What parameters does BassBox use to model the top end rolloff? Are you just talking about the rolloff from Le? BassBox doesn't reference actual frequency response curves, does it?
