I don't have any problem with your opinions. You are entitled to them, whether informed or uninformed. I only object to where you choose to air them and the insane, disruptive passion with which you defend them on websites that have nothing to do with the topic.

That graphic I posted nukes the climate models rone. The actual satellite data collected shows zero agreement with the models. Models are not science and they don't reflect reality. They are only as good as the theory that lays at the foundation of the programming.

Instead of throwing these nonsequitors at us about "bias", why not refute the satellite data?

And speaking of bias, who has the most to lose if funding of these ludicrous computer models is removed?

rone, as a scientist myself, who has studied what it means to gather data, formulate theory, run experiments to prove the premise, looking for the single example that destroys the argument, the satellite data tells me everything I need to know. The models are wrong, and the "scientists" who created them need to go back to the drawing board.

I have shown a number of ways that your opinion is uninformed and unimportant. Confirmation bias is very relevant to your uninformed opinions.

In the interests of furthering the peaceful discussion of relevant topics and remove your unwelcome "soap box topic" - I think the moderators should ban some words and perhaps remove a bunch of irrelevant crap from your signature.

Actually someone else started the global warming talk. Pete just replied to it.
Only comment I'll make on it is: I don't see how making Al Gore a multimillionaire is going to stop the so called global warming.

And it's cold again this AM . I waited til it warmed up to -19° before going outside.

OK. Can't resist. Mathematical models are a representation of someone's idea of what reality might be - not reality. Time and data will determine if a model is an accurate representation of reality. Data points spanning a few decades, or centuries are simply inadequate to support or refute a model of something as complex and dynamic as climate. Because the data are inadequate to determine an accurate model. the models themselves become politicized. It will be millenia before we know which model is more accurate. The models now seem wildly underdetermined.

In the meantime, I continue to drive my Mercedes to offset the carbon footprint of the guy with the Prius down the street. It is the least I can do.

In other news, my car -really- didn't want to shift into gear today.

Is there any harm leaving electronics in the -10 weather? I've got some old tape players I was given in the trunk of my car that are probably frozen in place. Figured I'd ask.

I work in the DC area with naval officers from our NATO allies, and this morning I went to the Canadian deputy to offer our surrender, saying they could have their air back. He declined.

I really wish the Weather reporters would tone down their use of "Wind Chill", I have observed some of them reporting wind chill before citing the actual temperature...This just creates confusion for those of us who just want the unfiltered version.
