The ones who stay likely have music playing through Saturday evening/night. The ones who leave go home after the event is over around 6pm, or go out for supper with a small group that sticks around and then home. I like to go for supper Saturday too, and last year we went to Quaker Steak & Lube. Year prior was 5-Guys. I'm thinking 5-Guys again this year.

    So- it varies.

      Sweet spam bomb, Ernest.
Don't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.

I'll be there through Sunday a.m. too - really don't like long days with a long drive at the end. Sure hope my speakers fit in my car!

See what happens when you only go to InDIYana once...... I remember there were more than three of us at Quaker Steak & Lube but I don't remember who. I had a great time and my wife wants me to go again this year.

Looks like my Fenghuang will be naked, but present. I got the last panels glued tonight. I have to fix a booboo (fill and such too), but that may wait until after the event.
                    Curvy they are!
And no- they don't look like they did at CK-DIY 2014.

All prizes have arrived, so that is all set.
I have to meet with Matt Monday after I get off work (yes- I do have to) and finish off the track selection.
It's almost done, and I think the masses will be a bit surprised this year.

I will be bringing some items to sell on the swap-meet tables, I have to take a look Wed or Thursday and see if I want to unload anything else. I'm sure I'll find something(s, or) more.

                    See you all Friday!

                      Hey, one more thing-

If anyone is coming into town on Thursday evening and would like to have dinner, let me know as I'd be glad to join you. I know Rory is coming in Thursday night, but he, Matt, and myself are the only ones I know will be in the area.

                      Later,

                        Wolf,
Here is an idea I really would like to see implemented.

Could we please have stick-on name labels this year? I wear a Bamberg polo every year, so it is easy for others to know who I am, but I feel awfully clueless as to whom I am talking to at the event. And it always appears to me that most of the guys recognize and know each other. Which makes me really feel clueless.

What has worked well at other events is to show both the person's name, and their screen name.

Wolf, I know you have plenty to do, so I volunteer to handle this for you. I just need to have real names to attach to the screen names.

I understand what you mean. For the Seminar I did last December I printed stick-on name tags for everyone who registered by sending me a note in advance. This covered all but a couple of people. I really wanted to avoid the situation where I didn't know who I was talking to or who was asking me a question during the seminar. This worked out great for me.

A lot of times at these events I recognize faces and engage in conversations, but since it's been a year I may not recall the person's name. I go ahead and ask and try not to appear too embarrassed. It seems everyone knows who I am, which is nice, but I often feel a bit at a disadvantage. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Jeff, I have the same problem and want you to know it's only going to get worse as you age! That said, unless my memory is bonkers, which is definitely possible, I seem to remember Wolf usually having stick-on name tags available for each person to annotate and wear.

Yes he did, And many people put their TT screen name on along with their actual name.

TT Screen names along with real names is awesome, even if you only put your TT screen name on the tag, that is a HUGE help to those of us who are relatively "new" around here

I remember most people's faces, but for the life of me, I am terrible at remembering names.
