I will definitely be penciling in these dates to attend!

What is everyone's thoughts on me bringing a pair of Paradigm Studio 20's to compare against? I also have a pair of Rokit 6's I could easily bring for comparisons.

Jeff- you can bring them anyway and play them outside of the themed competition.

I look forward to hearing them, you 'masochist' you! (your word not mine!) :D

I like the shape, and the CE-SXO thought. I know it's doable, as Jon Marsh does it all the time. Keep at it!

If you haven't seen it, the Ansonica series crossover may be of help in this regard - I do this on the woofers to get the breakup way out of range fast, though the overall slope is a bit hybrid.

Like I said- it's still available currently. Use it.

Also of note is that ribbons or planars may not take well to an SXO. YMMV.
Tony Gee does that all the time.

Just out of curiosity, would it be possible to do some subwoofer demos at this event?? There's been a lot of questions on the forum lately regarding subs, and I would be interested to see and hear some different sub builds. If not I understand, these events are already pretty packed w/ plenty to do. Just thought I'd ask!!

I've got the go-ahead from my wife to pencil this gathering in. I really don't like what the Dayton get together has turned into (competitive and boring) and want to have fun again at a DiY meet. Who knows, maybe I'll even throw something together (yeah, right!).

I might shoot for a test-build for a dipole sub if we do a "sub" event here. Dual Maelstrom 18's, should cover to 16Hz comfortably. I'd probably have to rent a vehicle to cart that though (unless I replace mine by then...)
