I have not found a faster way to chamfer then with a chisel. A chisel also allows me to cut any angle and I can cut closer to the mounting holes without the fear of tear out.

You could bring them over here. I have the hole saw, router and chamfer bit.

That's because there's no problem a chisel can't solve. Seriously, chisels are awesome. Some guys reach for the duct tape, I reach for a chisel. :D

Finally got most of the cabinets done and veneered. I posted some pictures in post 2. So far I am pretty happy with them. The Makore veneer is prettier then I thought it was going to be. So I cant wait to see how they look once they are in poly.

If all goes well this weekend then I should have them done and on my desk at work this Monday!

Veneer combination looks great! I'm a big fan of the contrast, as you may know

What veneer method did you use (glue,clamps,contactcement,etc..)? It looks like you veneered roundovers on the baffle- which is something I have not dealt with much yet. I have some heat-lock (iron on) glue that I keep meaning to try but keep forgetting I have it hidden away in the closet

I use contact cement. So far I have gotten great results. Your pics of that pair of speakers that used the solid one piece maple baffle was my inspiration for these. I used the tiger stripe maple veneer for the baffle. I used some veneer softener the day before and then was able to use the contact cement to apply it.

The maple has a couple tiny cracks so I will use my sanding shellac and 100 grit sand paper and it will get filled in and wont be able to see the cracks.

I am hoping that they come out really well. My coworkers are even anxious in seeing them as they really liked my waterfall Bubinga OS MT's.

How do you feel they compare to the cube style enclosures that you have heard of Leroy R? Do you feel the internal volume difference of the flat packs had much effect?
