Another Amp Case

I am almost finished with another Amplifier case,this one was made for someone who wanted something for showing off their displays at trade shows. Here are a few pics.I will be adding an Arduino Uno for system control,A Pre-Amp utilizing theTI PGA2320 volume control chip,A small Class D amp from PE will also be included.The 5 brass rods connect to a capacitive touch board from SparkFun.These will augment the 7 inch touch controlled LCD.

dwigle: The software running is a demo project from 4d Systems,the company provides plenty of support for the Arduino platform.The display shown is quite powerful and can run code standalone,the LCD has a micro SD card on board and is running what you see on the screen.

I will be loading my own code(c++) on the arduino board once I have it finished.Ultimately the end user(4D) will load their own code to suite their own requirements.

The main ingredients are as follows: The 4 corner posts are maple laminated to walnut(3/16),The base and top frame are cherry,side panels and top panel are a figured maple,On the front panel the brass rods are mounted in walnut.the bezel surrounding the display is mahogany as are the small pieces surrounding the brass knob.

I still have to install mounting feet on the cabinet,I just have some scrap pieces as footings at the moment.

Edit: The Maple used for the corner posts was purchased at Home Depot and I really enjoyed using this,it goes well with other species.

BTW:Where in NJ are you,I used to live in Suffern,NY
