Looks like the ATCs are too hard to get. I'll keep my eyes open. But ordered the 18 6ND430s I'm set up for a quick implementation and they crossover well to the SB 29s.
The Purifi PTT4.0W04-01A look great for a book shelf system.

I prefer the ATC. The best way to describe the difference is the Volt sounds slightly thin and more analytical compared to the ATC.

Craig, what do you find the sound differences to be? I've heard the ATC in a ProAc speaker with Scan woofs and tweet and thought it sounded fantastic. Buttery smooth. I've never gotten to even see a Volt in person. Glenn.

It may be that the Purifi PTT4.0W04-01A gives both the ATC and the Volt a run for their money performance-wise and for about half the cost (or less). Time will tell.

The EighteenSound 6ND430-8 looks like an easy to use device that may be a distant 2nd but good match for my taste and SB29RDNC at 2.5-3Khz. The $1200 savings can go to new carpet and some diffusers.
I tend to like devices that have low THD but with the 3rd order lower than 2nd. I guess I'm funny that way. LOL

I was referring to the Volt, not the ATC, but it could be back I guess....

I found the Voice Coil review and distortion is very low but I've yet to find it in the US, I'll keep looking.

I'm going threw some life decisions and looking to finalize my main system. Cost isn't much of a concern. I'm selling down a bunch of junk that'll easily cover an expensive midrange. The AE TD15S will stay of course!!
Thanks!!
ScottThis is a long thread with many twists and dead ends. Before diving in, take a look a this first: The documentation files of the finished Open Source Monkey Coffin loudspeaker. I am (trying to) keep this up to date! The notes at the end of this post, which have some useful hints to navigate the...
Check this out, Scott. The ATC is not available for diy, but the Volt 752 3" dome is. The open source monkey box uses the Volt, and the thread contains tons of measurements . Glenn.
