When I need a copper washer, I hammer a penny to the right size and drill a hole in the center. Much cheaper.

I like what you did, experimentation and hardly expensive or risky at that.

Shame the copper penny didn't do much. THIS guy used a short length of copper pipe (scroll down).

Part Express linked to this thread on their facebook page. Hey maybe they could send jbruner some free drivers so he can improve them with slits and document the work and improvements. I mean something like oh I don't know say a pair of Dayton Audio PM180-8 6-1/2" :D

While I thoroughly enjoy your provocative one-word comments, I have no idea what you mean by this.

The Aurasound NS6 sounds so whoreible, there's no way I can make it worse.

The only question is, should I start a new thread for the NS6-255-8A?

              4 drivers have been baselined.

              Sample 3 has been cut.

I'd suggest you start a new thread and edit your OP to include a link (or links) to test(s) of different drivers. In the OP of your new thread(s) include links to this one and all others. This is "probably" the least confusing method although many folks will cross-post in this and other threads regarding the various drivers. It'll take some diligence to keep your threads on track. Oh my... what have you gotten yourself into??:D

Yeah... was it intentional, ya' think? Maybe he needs to consider adding more slutz in the cones?:D

With that many slits he could make a fortune

I think he tried to pimp them but they kept talking noise like a NS6, so as we now know, sometimes you have to cut a NS6

Yeah, but could he put up with all the noise without going insane?
