Can someone describe the dark brown pyramid model in post 45?
    Love those amps.

I think you're referring to Bill C.'s WATT-clones. It's a Focal inverted dome over a SEAS woofer. The little red amps are Hipcheck's Nelson Pass Amp Camp Amps.

I think Tom is going to bring it to you in Little Rock today (Sunday). Thank you for coming and bringing your speakers. It was great listening to them. I had a good time listening to everything.

Before getting into what a great time I had at the event, I left my Sony CD player remote control behind. If anybody happens to find it, could you please send it to me? i'll be happy to reimburse you for postage.

OK, what a blast. As usual, I had a whopping good time and learned far more from you guys than I could possibly digest. Could not temper my enthusiasm for Bob's little Alpair-equipped speaker. If I don't die first, I'll have a pair of those up and running before next year's meet.

Thanks again for the hospitality and all the patience in answering my amateurish questions.

First, just wanted to thank everyone for coming and sharing their projects. I got to hear speakers of all sorts, probably the most unique was Hipcheck's tapped horns. Way too much math for me! Dave Thomas Tangeos got a nice review from everyone, Bob Brines full range Mark Audio's were the only full rangers there and everyone loved them too. Thankful for Bill Carpenter to let me hear some really nice kit designs I had not hear. Thanks Nathan for selling me the pair of HDS tweets. Have heard them in a number of projects and wanted to try them on one of my own. Hope everyone got home or will get home safe. I appreciate you taking the time and effort to attend.

Gary, check your PM. I put Hipcheck and Tom's numbers there. They are headed your way and just need to know where to drop off the remote.

This weekend was a blast. It was real nice to see everybody again. We also added a few new faces. There were some really good designs brought in. I really enjoyed the ER18DXT. I have a friend wanting some speakers for a medium sized office and i think i will try these. one thing about the speakers that Carpenter11235 brought was how heavy the cabs were! it was the curved sided PE cabs ( IIRC they were tweaked by him with some damping and maybe extra brace) Both speakers from Carpenter11235 were very good.

We had everything from mini budget 2 way to the standard " PARTY SIZED" 3 way. Nice to see a newer member return with a few builds between our meets. We need more builders so we keep having a reason to get together.

                B. Brines had a really nice system that was all digital to the amps and a well tuned Bass/ full range system. The all digital system made for simple connections and good integration.

Bob loaned me his subs and amp fill in the bottom of my Synergy horns. This was my first listen to them (no measurements and no tweaking at all) I ran it with Mini DSP crossed over at 1500hz. Sounded pretty good, so I look forward to tweaking and measuring them over next few weeks. FYI these are as ugly as they look and were built this week. the final holes/mounting speakers/wiring were all done at the event!

It would not be an event without food, fun, and beer in Hot Springs! Saturday night was great with appetizers and beer. A big thanks to Bill for hosting this event. Bill as always you are a great host and a great guide for the food/beer of the local places.

Thanks for everybody who showed up!,

                Steve

Thanks everyone for coming and thank you Bill for hosting this nice event. Some great designs and great people all around. Also, thanks to those who discovered I left my laptop on the chair. Tom found my number and was kind enough to meet up so I could get it back today.

When I finish the NaO Note II RS and get the myriad of connections working and sounding as designed, I may invite this group over one evening for listening, grilling, and beer. My fiance is surprisingly supportive of this hobby but that might change some after we're married and after I've created a few dumpsters worth of scraps and dust, not to mention taking up more closet space. Hipcheck said he's in Little Rock some weeks on Wednesdays. Hot Springs is about one hour from my driveway, so that's not too bad. It was great meeting all of you and I look forward to next time.

I would like to hear them if your better half is okay with that.

Yes I would like to audition your dipoles. I had dipoles a few years back with a behringher DCX. It sounded good but I have not listened to a dipole setup to compare it to. No doubt that your implementation of a known design will give me a reference of my efforts with dipole speakers.

Good luck on getting them up and running!

I'd like in on the field trip to hear the dipoles too!
