I modeled a 6-1/2" DVC sub in .5 ft tuned to 40 hz and got 10mH, 150uf for each coil. Adding a 10mH, 500uf, 6ohm LCR comp to each coil cuts 3.5db from the nasty 80hz peak and achieves a 110hz LR2 slope. That's a lot of copper- 4 big coils for 1 driver!
Wouldn't it be better to get a car amp with a built-in sub x-o and level control/boost? A really small box will benefit from some low end boost.
