it sounds awesome too , just adding a lil low end has really brought the OS's to life ! it fills a medium size room with really pleasant sound ...

          Re: OS Boombox build

a cancellation this morning allowed me to get the hangers mounted . they do not fit as tight as i'd hoped but they will work . to get alignment right i first mounted the to the sub box and used a little double sided tape to stick them to the OS's ...

          this worked well ...

now i'm off to the marine supply for a heavy duty stainless steel handle ...

Could you have recessed them at all to tighten it up a bit?

Yeah, seeing you use those has me rethinking my plan. I like the functional look of those.

Nothing like wanging hard at work. Blow em up mang.

                              bwahahhaha. Yes, a few things.....

                              1. Mine will be entirely of 1/2" plywood.
                              2. It will be taller than it is deep (yours doesn't look too deep)
                              3. No longer than about 24".

Weight and size are the two biggest things that boombox builders battle and that's why most make compromises on performance.

Mine will be fairly large and heavy by the time I'm done as well. :p

i agree Joey and and i did not do this ... original plans did not call for a sub and was to be built outta 1/2" ply but after hearing the OS cabs that are 1/2" ply i went with 3/4" MDF for the sub box ... all that said i am super pleased with how it sounds ... on the bright side i need to get a hand truck anyway for my 120lb 2.5's ... ;)
