I remember when I lived in my apartment and would do all my wood working on my 2nd story balcony. I had MDF smell and dust EVERYWHERE in that apartment as well as paint. I would plastic tarp in the whole balcony. It is quite a memory I have of that place.
back at it and getting close . needed to touch up the 3/4" that frames the back , got a little heavy handed sanding and now re-painting that . to quote Joeybutts , " i HATE finish work" ....
<SIGH> 9 days of curing wasn't enough . the news paper i used to mask it off stuck and i am gonna have to re-do it one more time . i'm sick to my stomach rite now ...
Something isn't right there. Most of these paints shouldn't need more than an hour or so to be set enough to mask. How long did you leave the masking on and did you overspray on the paper enough to get it wet. It may have been the fresh paint you were spraying that got the paper wet and made it stick. I prefer to use the brown masking paper that you can get in the paint department at most home improvement stores. It's thicker and less apt to allow overspray to bleed through. Also try to mask, spray and then remove masking as soon as possible. Don't leave the masking on for long periods of time. I typically remove the masking within 30 minutes of spraying.
masking was on a little over an hour after spraying . no the paper didn't get that much on it , even the baffle on the other side had paper stick ... i don't know ...
