    Re: OS Boombox build

i gotta add that playing with this the last couple days has been blast ! yesterday i linked the laptop via bluetooth witch opens it up to all my files also Pandora and ihart radio . the remote control allows me to adjust all sound functions from LP and i got it sounding really good X'ed at 100 with the 2nd slope in normal phase , i've also used the fade control to turn up the OS's a touch and give it a well balanced overall sound ...

still a little disappointed with the overall finish, with as much time and money as i'v spent and as good as it sounds i feel it deserves better and probably will be completely redone in the future ...

I have been following this, freaking awesome! I got bit by the boombox bug, currently working on number 5. Mine are all either rough finish (truck bed coating), or unfinished (3/4" pine hand grenade crates), the current one is a ammo can and 4" coaxial speakers, 50x2 board amplifier, Bluetooth module, and security system battery.

The houses in your area look pretty small.

I don't know why it took me so long to get to that last one.

BTW, that's a very manly looking boombox. You could use it for biceps curls.

    i'll try ..

everything turned out really well except for the finish ... the Sony has DSP and a 10 band EQ that gives me plenty of control . the Clarion is 300w into 2ohm and ya gotta know i ran a test to see if the brick could handle it and it did so well , the future possibility's are almost endless ...

i am now working out two things , the pig tail/gator clips so i can hook to any 12v battery and a 9-12v battery set up to maintain memory, size and weight had to be compromised somewhere lol

the finish was just my own ignorance and a lesson learned . thanks again bob ...

overall its more than a boombox , more like a portable high powered 2.1 that has AM/FM , CD , USB ,AUX in and Bluetooth with DSP and an EQ
