Yeah, I did multiples because all of mine had a plethora of parts and my bracing didn't allow for large boards and I found it a bit easier. Now that I know about barrier strips I'll use those as well.

    nice ...

i thought about multiple boards and may end up doing so .... Josh has got my 3ohm resistors in the mail , once i have those i'll get to work ....

Hhahaha yeah, I have a 90uf in my surrounds I think and a 12awg or 14awg inductor. Thing weighs like 5 lbs alone.

Sadly, tear all that apart, lay it out nice and neat, I try my best to make it as fluid as possible but sometimes it just doesn't happen, give the resistors some breathing room, hot glue/zip-strip the big stuff down, solder underneath, put standoffs on the board, then stick it in there.

hu hu....he said stick it in there.....

    EDIT:

I knew I had it somewhere.... this is the woofer section for my Khanspires...

Don't make the crpssover build more difficult than it needs to be, it's not very complicated. Just take your time, lay things out neatly, secure, then solder.

you can count on it Rory ! Thanks again for handling the tweeter issue ...

this is where i tend to run outta steam during my builds , they are together in place and being used . i find it hard to get motivated and get the finish done .

today i went to the Shack and got some circuit boards so i no longer have an excuse not to get the XO's together , tho i have to admit my lack of experience in putting XO's together does have me a lil concerned as these do deserve some good work ...

No hope. No escape. Your house slowly starts to fill up with wonderful sounding pairs of speakers in every room.

If you have lots of friends and/or family, they start giving you more affection.:D

new tweeter in . i listened to them all last night and i think we're there . i may try going down on the padding for a couple days just to have a listen but at this point think we got it just right . still need to get the XO's onto boards , thinking of using peg board but its the one thing we don't have in the shop . also i need to figure out what size trailer hitch ***** i want to use for feet and get those , but we're real close to breaking down and finishing ...

a few thoughts : these are everything thing i was looking for . clean , accurate , big , loud and amp friendly . i'm really happy so far and honestly can't stop smiling . :D

to the tech i talked to , next time someone asks if they need to bring this up in his build thread ya might want to pull up said thread before ya say " thats your prerogative " ....
Great! But it shouldn't take Rory reading a thread to get it right. I hope PE has addressed this internally, but we will leave that up to them.
