      They look great!

They are too far from the wall. The bass will improve a lot if they are 3 feet or less from the back wall to the speaker face.

If anyone is interested, I have begun construction of an all-aluminum version of these.

i looked at those before deciding to build these Joey , the impedance load scared me . i would of needed a new amp as well . these are 7.5 nominal ...

Yeah, CJD stays pretty dedicated to separates. His stuff is so good though. Love it.

Definitely would be nice to have an AVR friendly version.

alright guys i'm gonna need some help getting good measurements . Josh has got the aluminum version together and had to make some XO changes , we're not sure that i'm gonna have to yet but some good pics would go along way . first my mic shuts down on the top octave around 15k in the near field and farther out it shuts down around 7-8k . also my space is very small and cluttered so i do get some noise . thinking of going outside but i do have a busy noisy road out front . i am using UMM-6 and Holm impulse . any thoughts , suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated ...

                Thanks

I've had the same issue with HolmImpulse. I had to play with the settings a lot to get it to extend out to about 18.5-19khz. I used a weird sampling rate. Like 170something hz or something and had to keep reinitializing and restarting the stream. I would take a measurement, reset/reinitialize, and keep doing this until I got a response that worked. It only worked on this sample rate. Anythinge else was a little messed up.

What is the sweep highpass set at? Anything over about two or three hundred will make the top end drop like a cliff. There's probably no reason to set it higher than 60 hz.

One of my computers rolled off the top like that with the headphone connection, but not the other output. (Or it might have been the other way around.)

Soundcard issues can be difficult to figure out sometimes.

Make sure no one changed the treble setting.

Looks like the soundcard is the problem. What kind is it? Did you turn off all the special effects?
