A note about the venue. FirstBuild is divided into 3 areas, the front area is a 'collaboration space' and demo kitchen, there is a makerspace area with workbenches, 3d printers, laser cutter, etc and a micro factory. The majority of the event will take place in the front space, which is open to the public with no access restrictions. In order to get in the other areas, there are a few restrictions in place. In order to get into the makerspace you must create an account on firstbuild.com (it is completely free and all that is required is an email address) and sign a liability waiver. Anyone under 18 must have their parent or legal guardian present in the makerspace.

I bring this up for a couple reasons, one is that Jerry and I are setting up a PA in the microfactory area to play around with some of the bigger stuff we have been working on, and I can also give tours for those interested (I have a feeling our shopbot would be interesting to several people). In order to save time, it would be helpful to create an account on firstbuild.com prior to the event if you are interested in getting into the makerspace and microfactory.

Thanks Tag - the tour sounds interesting. Do each member of the party needs to sign a waiver - i only ask as my wife and mom will be tagging along with me. I will definitely register - just asking if i need to do 3 registration.

So far so good, only a few days till the show! Still around 20 projects predicted which should make for a great day of music and demos. The plan is to start around 9am.

I will only be bringing one build to make room for a package and hopefully some plywood! Also, i cant seem to find the link for the tour waiver. Did it get deleted or maybe it was emailed?

There's no "tour" per say, Tim(tag_) will show you around the facility. It's a really cool place with all the fabrication goodies you can think of.
