That's a wrap guys. I will have some pics and video clips up on the Midwest Audio Club website next week. Thanks to everyone who chimed in. We had well over 100 virtual attendees logged in. FirstBuild is sharing the demographic data with us. I'll have more on that next week as well.

thanks to all who participated in organizing this event ( great job) and to all participating and attending. as par for the course, a bunch of really nice designs. a few stand out at the event, Rory catching up on his beauty sleep was top on my list (needs more sleep), DanN and the St, Bernard sized hump (what happens in Louisville stays in Louisville), and Mike220 stress testing Chuck's speakers during the demo, the speakers passed with an A+. good weekend.

Well that was much more me than Mike. And they did leave a little "residue" aka stuffing, behind but they are none the worst for wear. There was not really a bad speaker. A few I felt needed a tweak or just weren't my taste. Still very good.

Haha, well in my defense no one warned me that the cd was going to 6db more output! It only had 2 smacks before i stopped it.

Thanks to everyone involved with running the event and first build for hosting it. We had a good get together at Mark's house friday night. Thanks to Mark, his wife and daughter for putting up with us and getting us fed! Afterwards we had a hotel listening sessions which are my favorite part of these events. It's a sort of anything goes as far as music genre and extended listening sessions with alot of builds. I usually hear plenty of new recordings that i need to add to my playlists during these. Also it gives us a chance to dissect and pinpoint areas that may need some tweaking or areas that are strong points in your build. Its very educational.

Speaking of the hotel listening session i need to thank CraigK for bringing his front end gear. I dont know what magic that spectral preamp and amp (not certain amp brand) but the level of clarity and depth that it brought out in songs that i have heard and we play at every diy was stunning. I wish everyone could have heard that setup. Perhaps at the next diy we could use your gear?

I fell in love with the carrera's this weekend. So these are happening for sure probably a month or so after december/january.

Thanks to Bryan for driving us down there we have some interesting conversations that make the drive go significantly faster than driving solo! Matt Sobie thanks for bringing a shipment of goodies to me, thanks to Wolf/Ben and Chuck for answering alot of questions and giving me some tips/pointers and thanks to Steve Fishe for inviting us to dinner after the event. Ani and his family joined us for dinner and it was nice getting to know them.

Thanks goes to Eric & Tim (1stBuild) for being great hosts this weekend. It was a nice venue with great designs! Great to see some of our friends here, and meeting new friends that came. Amazing what 1st Build does and gives back to the community. Thanks again to those that contributed also bringing their gear and helping out.

I'd like to thank all in attendance yesterday for another fantastic gathering for the KYDIY event. The Brian duo worked they're UStream magic (which with the set-up Brian Duggan did at this venue was top notch!!), Tim for providing the access to the 1stBuild room, Rory/Ben for the front end support, my wife Terri for the snacks/coffee/lunch assistance, all the maunfactures that donated door prizes, Tim (theLinks) for the Roxule panels (my name is spelled with a C... ;) ) and my bud Adam for set-up and tear down. Once again the speakers were all well recieved and provided a great day of sounds and visions. I'm sure pics will start posting as people get back into the swing of things, I still have to upload my set as of this post. From what I could tell everyone enjoyed this venue and sonically it sounded fine over the wide range of projects that showed up. Sorry I missed just about everyone leaving as I had to use Adam's assistance (his truck) to get my speakers home, by the time we got back everyone was pretty much out the door. Hope we can do it all again here next year, again Thanks everbody!! :applause:

Sorry Eric! :o And thanks to your Wife, she kept the counter full , and coffee brewing. Very kind of her! The location seemed to be central for most people. The other thing we forgot to mention was how many of the outsiders coming through seemed to enjoy what they heard. They seemed to keep coming out and listening to the demos . Good Job!

                            Eric,
Thanks to you and your wife, Tim, Ben, Rory, Adam, the Bri(y)an's and Anyone else who had a hand in getting this together. It was a fun and very entertaining event. The venue was excellent, with lots of places to gather and talk away from the listening area. Lots of space for sale or trade tables, the food area, great chairs!, etc. It would be hard to top it, IMO. Thanks to Adam for the help with loading and unloading speakers, to McJerry for the freebies and Matt for the CD. 1stBuild is an inspiring facility, to say the least.

On a personal note, I wish I had plugged my woofer to the woofer circuit instead of the mid and vice-versa on the one speaker for the first 8 minutes of my audition:rolleyes: W's and M's look too much alike when looking from the opposite side! I really put that Beta*a to a serious torture test. Good catch Rory.

Thanks to Craig for the one-liners.:D

Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone behind the scenes. This event was a lot of fun (even though I missed most of the floor standers due to my late arrival Saturday :o). Everything seemed to go flawlessly, the venue was phenomenal, the speakers were great, and the company was spectacular. Also thanks to Eminence for the Beta 12 woofers (door prize); not sure how I'll implement those just yet but I'm sure I'll think of something!!

Thanks Mark (jinjuku) for your hospitality on Friday evening. You have a very nice family and it was great to finally meet you in person!

Thanks to Craig, Bryan, and Mike for the late night listening session, that was a really good time. Maybe next time I'll bring my old Pioneer SX-950; I have a speaker selector as well and we could reverse wire that and A/B between that and some newer equipment and see what "takes the cake"

I want to give a big shout out to Eric, Adam, Rory, and Eric's wonderful wife Terri. It was great speaking with Eric's better half.

Don't worry Terri, the next round of tile will be for the house!
