Bob, respectfully speaking, there is a great distance between the two and I doubt there would be much conflict.

For sure, but Jim Griffin has ventured down to SEC DIY each year. I'm sure you'd miss him ;)

If you live in southern Tennessee or northwest GA, you might be able to make both. It looks as if Bob wants to make both of them.

I seriously debated coming last year - inlaws live in New Albany.

If it's not the 8th, I will again seriously debate it this year. I miss the Midwest!

Looks like this years event will be here in Louisville. I have a few options in location, but need to get a definate date to book a place to have it. Traditionally we shoot for the 2nd or 3rd Saturday in November. That puts us at either the 8th or the 15th. I'd also kinda want to get a rough estimate head count/speaker entry, too. You can vote for both dates above if it makes no difference to you.

I am in for either weekend. I will follow this thread. I moved to Nashville last year and missed the Hot Springs event because work got in the way but my November is wide open and I have a project with the Peerless 6.5" HDS GFC driver and the BG Neo 3PDR I need a good excuse to finish. Plus I love Louisville.

I am a member of LVL1 hackerspace and am part of the Soundbuilders group there, it could be a potential venue depending on the numbers expected (capacity is 89).

I also work at FirstBuild (www.firstbuild.com, GE's makerspace on the U of L campus) and might be able to secure that as a venue (I know the 8th would not be an option there is a Waterstep hackathon scheduled for that date).

Sometimes you can be too nice. No date will be ideal for everyone so be a dictator and select one and get on with it. The longer you wait the more issues and side alleys you will have to endure. It is more important to generate enough notice about the meeting to assure that attendance is robust. Just do it.

I pretty much am, the 8th conflicts with that other meet and there's not enough interest in the 22nd, so that leaves the 15th. I'll leave it at that till Monday, unless something major happens more than likely that'll be the date.
