Where to buy 3" black PVC pipe + end caps?

I've decided I sorta like my PVC enclosures for my Faital full-range drivers. So instead of building a more conventional box, I thought I'd simply replace my current white PVC pipe enclosures w/ some black ones.

I've done some googling and find the big box stores don't really carry 3" in black.

I could paint some white PVC pipe, but thought just starting w/ black pipe would be simpler.

I found a Mueller Industries that has 3" black foam-core PVC, and they make end caps, but I haven't found anyone that stocks both of those.

I'm in Milwaukee, so if there are any places local to me where I could walk in and hand-over some do-re-mi and walk out with some black pipe and black end caps, that would be pretty awesome.

Or I could mail order the stuff if anyone knows of an outfit that carries a lot of black PVC stuff.

Any ideas?

Black is ABS, try looking for that not PVC.

Both Home Depot and Lowe's carry 3" ABS pipe in store, at least in my area. Your's do not?

Probably easier to paint the PVC. The ABS still has printing on it.

I'm thinking I'd try to remove the printing using some chemicals or abrasion. I could paint, but already black would save a bunch of dinking around.

I've been using the Dayton PT3 tubes. I bit expensive if you need a lot, but I don't. Be aware, however, that it is not 3", it is 70mm. The Precision Sound tubes work out to about the same price, but are true 3".

It may depend on where you are, around here white sd40 pipe larger than 2" isn't stocked in the big stores. I wanted some 3" as a stand tube, (ABS drain pipe was way too flexy) had to search far and wide. The black ABS stuff is available up to 4", just about everywhere

If you have a full size Menards near you they do. That's where Mike got I think 6".

I wanna know what you were trying to support that three inch ABS couldn't hold? My kids and I build stuff all the time out of scraps left over from jobs and it is pretty stout.

back on topic, any sand paper should remove that lettering, I use sandcloth all the time to remove it with out much fuss.

Acetone will remove printed on lettering pretty easily, but I don't know what if anything it will do to ABS.

I still haven't visited my local Menards, but we do have a few of the larger variety close-by.

The thing is, when I search for ABS using their website, I can only find up to 1-1/2" in stock.

I figured I'd just wait until the weekend and visit one of the stores in case the stuff is stocked by some other name or something. If not I can place an online order and have it shipped to the store.
