  • DakotaDIY 2015

OK, I know June is a busy travel month for many - but that is about the only month on the calendar without additional DIY events.

So, my birthday is on the 5th and I am ok with hosting it my birthday weekend.

My anniversary is the 20th, and that is off the table.

Father's day falls in there somewhere, as well.

I am currently leaning towards the first weekend of June, myself. I know at least one other attendee shares my birthday - so maybe we can have double celebration that Friday night?

MAC has already lined up a brand new, awesome sponsor for our 2015 season and of course, we will have our usual line up!

This past June, we booked a live show by the wife's band as the Saturday night entertainment - this year we will be doing something similar, and we also have plans for something else for Friday evening. Details to follow on both. Rest assured both will have relevance to our hobby

I am working on some local, non-audio sponsors (yet still relevant) - perhaps that is related to the Friday night activity, or perhaps not ;) You will just have to stay tuned to see!

So anyways - as things fall into place, we will be updating this thread more often. It will be well worth the trip for anyone, I can promise that!
Don't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.

+1 for June 5th and 6th, aligned with a weekend I don't have to work!!!!!
Plus, everyone loves a birthday bash!!!!
Better excuse when you have a large group of guys (and ladies) drinking beer and listening to loud music, then, we're just a couple audio enthusiast that have an addiction to building speakers.
If we all reacted the same way, we'd be predictable, and there's always more than one way to view a situation.
What's true for the group is also true for the individual. It's simple: Overspecialize, and you breed in weakness.
      It's slow death.

Its not a really special birthday this year, just 58. Maybe Amanda will sing for me.

This would be fun. I am going to be there. Would this be the first DIY of 2015?

Axpona is 24-26, and I need to find out when the VB sale is, so it could be early April...

I will be looking to see in a couple weeks.

                          Re: DakotaDIY 2015

I am going to publicly proclaim June 5th and 6th as official DakotaDIY 2015 dates.

Venue will depend on attendance, but I think I can set up an informal at a hotel, and secure one of two venues depending on number of attendees.

I am going to set up a Facebook page tonight, and add it to my signature. It will be public, so anyone in the world can look at it. Most of the information will be announced there, I will reserve this thread strictly for major announcements, and even then I will probably re-direct to Facebook.

To express a formal early interest, an email sent to [email protected] get your name on the list. Just include a real name so my contact list doesn't look too silly

So consider this the formal announcement of the dates; venue announcement will follow later as I get a handle on attendance.

                          Thanks, ya'll
