    Re: Big Radius 2-way

Thanks Hong. As this graph suggests, there is some/to much overlap on the woofer and sub. I don't want to low pass it so I might just put a bag of foam or something in there to take up some space. Perhaps it will roll off a bit earlier.
    Thoughts?

I wonder, if you painted the curved panel orange, visually it would make that area distinctly the "top", and thus the black baffle not as tall, so it wouldn't seem like the drivers were so low on the baffle.

What amps are you using that're causing issues with the sub integration?

I started out designing a two-way that would go as low as possible. I incorporated a full 6db of baffle step.
One I fix that, and maybe take up a bit of space, they should intergrate mucho better.

Those turned out really awesome! If they sound half as good as the big orange towers, they'll be amazing

Thanks. I got to listen for about a hour when I got home. A little Strauss, some Steely Dan and some Michael McDonald. I really like what I'm hearing.

The subs came out really nice too. So the color difference is just done with paint? I'm surprised that the paint line is so nice and crisp given that you used textured paint underneath. Those look awesome. I know you say the cabinet arrangement places the tweeter lower than we normally do, but is there any negative effect on the sound?

I ask because I've often listened to my unfinished version of Chris Roemer's Neo Nano's on the ground, just slightly tilted upwards, and found them to sound pretty much fine down there. They really look cool.

Thaks Tom. The Black and Orange are both Duratex. Miki mixed it for me on request. I just used blue masking tape. Up close, you can tell.
Below on axis, the top end drops like a rock, but above, is really good. I'll get some measurements one of these days.
