This is an add-on for the two-way monitor. People who already possess the Kairos, Continuum, or other similar speakers only need to build the woofer modules. However, if someone wants to build the Kairos three-way from scratch then they will still need to build both the two-way Kairos and the woofer modules and combine them.
will it be possible to add the module to my continuum passively or its simply a subwoofer?
Jeff, would this work on the diysoundgroup Magnum-12 that is in your Maximus 12 speaker?
Would the crossover work? Yes. Would it work with the Continuum or Kairos. No, not in my opinion. While the Magnum-12 is an excellent woofer, it not a good choice for an application like this one where lower sensitivity and deeper extension are the trade-offs we are targeting. The Magnum is simply too efficient to work in a design like this one passively. Now, it would work with a pair of Alchemy's though.
Re: Continuum vs. Kairos vs. Adelphos vs. Solstice
Thank you Jeff, that sounds very interesting. Would the Fusion 8's retain their sensitivity with the mag12 using the crossover you kindly shared as a 3way? If so would the three way be OK running from a 100wpc AVR? It'd be great to get the midbass punch of the mag12 without needing another amp.

I want to ask you a few questions....Jeff would the 3 way be possible with a flat-pack subwoofer enclosure like the dayton 1cuft enclosure, or perhaps a Denovo flat-pack? Would the 3-way be easier to integrate into a room then a 2-way + sub?
I just saved up enough to buy a subwoofer and amplifier (and got wife's approval) for my Kairos (still need to get the enclosure finished/braced). I am using an Emotiva Flex $200 50wx2 amp and I don't think I am doing the speakers justice. I also have the speakers on crates as stands. I have a $3000 budget, and I am not sure if it would be better to buy a $2000 JL sub and $1000 Amp or build a $600 DIY sub and get a better amp or get build the 3-way and power it all with just one 2 channel amp. My room is like 13x13 feet.
