This was really a great show. We started a bit late but JR got us done by five. I got some pic and load them up in a few days. Got a great video of Amanda (Mrs. JR) blow drying her hair using the ports of a massive subwoofer.
Thanks to JR, JP, BK, AR and to Doug P for making sure BK got hooked up to the wifi.
There were no real dogs in the lineup. And a few that I really liked.

I had a great time, I think I have more fun hanging out afterwards with you guys than I do at the show . Such a diverse group, and so much fun actually getting to know everyone. I think it's funny when I have preconceived notions about how some guys are, then I meet them and it's totally not what I expected. John H, was a lot of fun hanging out and talking music. Ed P, you're awesome! Dr Scott :p, was great meeting you and your brother. Alexis, I really hope you had a good time, and it was great meeting you and your wife and hanging until whatever time it was Saturday night/Sunday morn. Lowell, glad you finally figured out who had your equipment, and it was cool getting to know you as well. Thanks to everyone that put this together, and it was obviously also great seeing everyone I already knew :D. I'm sure I left someone out and I'll remember later, but it was a really good weekend!! Not sure if we'll need a new hotel for next year at this point, but however that shakes out... it was worth it.

I think the biggest question on everyone's mind after that weekend is... Alexis, how was the Mexican food? :p

thanks to all who were involved with arranging the event, and the sponsors for donating items. I appreciate the continued support of these companies. had a really good time. the after hours get together was great. several important issues concerning the state of Tennessee were resolved during the Saturday late night session. hope to see everyone at the next event. almost forgot, a special thanks to PWDRYD. I didn't think it sounded that loud either.

This was a blast, just as should be expected from JR and company! As my first time at Iowa, the Harris center amphitheater is a world class venue for sound and lived up to all expectations. A lot of speakers blew me away, but Thumper Tom's 'never-quite-made-it-in' Iron Driver build stands out in my mind. I'm not the most talkative, but I always enjoy listening to everyone and occasionally interjecting a thought. It was good to see the crew again and meet some more fanatics for the first time as well.

All that aside, once I settle in I'll setup a page to the uploaded demos and track lists on the MAC site. A link to that will appear here at that point. A special thanks to all the people that took advantage of the uploads, I think the upload system is a nice streamlined way to handle demos at events, even with the snags we had. I look forward to streamlining the system for future events, based on feedback from the users and attendees.

This event really is top notch! thank you JR, BK, Jason and the rest of the crew. Still sad i missed Saturday nights informal. Its tough to get to spend time chatting with everyone in only one night.

Special thanks to JR, BK, Jason, Amanda, & Doug for putting on another great show. And thanks to everyone else that helped out as well. I took tons of pictures and am currently processing them in Lightroom. I'll try to get a disc mailed out to Bryan sometime tomorrow. Great to see everyone again and listen to lots of great sounding speakers.

I have been experimenting with a revised photo technique, placing a flash behind speakers to separate the background and create a rim lighting effect. Hope you enjoy the photos. Here are a few random samples of my best shots:

Thanks for the pics Bill, very nice work! Obviously you're as much a perfectionist when it comes to photography as you are with your cabinet and finish work .

Also, just realized I never mentioned my demo tracks. Sorry, I never uploaded them for Jason to include on the disc. But for anyone interested....

                                Here are my demo tracks:

                                1) 2015 IowaDIY house demo track
                                2) 2014 IowaDIY house demo track

So, I guess I didn't really have an original track, as such! :D But, I am currently working on a project to do a 24bit/96kHz digital transfer of some 15 ips master tapes that I recorded on location in 1974 using two Advent MDC-1 microphones, an Advent 100A dolby noise reduction unit and a Crown SX-724 reel-to-reel tape recorder. I hope to have something ready by IowaDIY 2016.
