It's "balmy" in October compared to December - March. That's when parkas just aren't quite enough on snowy, windy days. :(

I did, the prices are about 60% higher.
Also, since it is kind of a long travel for us, better make it a vacation. Chicago seems to be better suited to vacation than Grinnell....
