Well, I promised my wife - and myself - that I wouldn't buy another pair of drivers until I started using what I have in the closet. So, in order to buy more drivers, I have to put together a couple of projects. Having just finished the crossover for the Renditions, I was itching to breathe some more saw dust. I had a pair of Usher 8945A woofers and XT25 tweeters that I acquired a while back from a couple of the members here, so here we are. This combo has been done many times in the DIY community, but who cares? I'm going to build myself another pair of speakers because I don't have enough. Hehe.
Day 1.
Broke the woofers in overnight and determined T/S parameters, then loaded them in BassBox Pro to model the box, which volume turns out to be 0.6 cu.ft (17" H X 8" W X 13" D), tuned at 40Hz, with a F3 of 45Hz. The vent is 2" X 7".
3/4" MDF is used, and the pieces are ready to be glued.
