It looks to be passive to me. I thought about making a soundbar from a pair of O.S.'s and a O.S. MTM before. Cool idea.

Note the price difference, though.

I missed that, although don't forget that the prices listed on the source tech website are usually MSRP. Source tech isn't an ID company, they sell through dealers. So you can expect a price break on those through a dealer, plus those are the larger sizes compared to the soundbar that is pictured.

Since there is no mention of amplifiers, I would lean towards passive.

i made a similar soundbar with an internal amp. initially it wasnt pleasant, but after 25+ hrs breakin it was much sweeter.
