Sub'd for another CF build - looking forward to seeing how yours works out.

        Very cool build.

The only thing to consider is the tweeter's rear wave summation with the woofer. I think by adding a second tweeter with a z offset by the baffle width might work. I haven't figured out what to do with the impedance. I usually start like you have then go measuring.

Exactly. Although, in your case, I'm surprised you haven't named far more speakers after cars. Then again, when it's your day job, sometimes the novelty wears off.

Cool concept and design Wolf. I like the inspiration of the name too. Will be cool to see them come together!

Very nice Ben, but please take a lot of "detailed" pics throughout the design, since I also have 2 of these woofers.

Guess you are not a square box fanboy! (:

                Thanks,

                  This one:

                  ...is NOT the dipolar version.

Now since I've checked- it does not look like the Dipolar is not on the PE website.
                  Maybe they can get it?

And no- I tend to push the box-building complexity to make it more of a challenge for myself.

You can email Beston and they will sell you a pair. Some time ago, I recall with shipping from Taiwan, was about $95 for the pair.

About $10 shipping isn't bad from Taiwan....

Given my pragmatic nature, I'd have to go for something like "X 1/9". It's still mid-engine Italian, parts are plentiful, and $30k doesn't buy you a project requiring another $70k for the restoration. Oh, and I'd like mine with a modern engine transplant instead of the 65hp sewing machine motor they shipped with.

                        Regards,

I would hope that, unlike the car, an X 1/9 speaker wouldn't disintegrate into a pile of rust.

                          (I owned two of them.)

Ah- the Bertone X1/9, I used to see one down the road from here. It was Orange.
I could even see 'Fiero' or 'MR2' for domestic-made drivers, or Viper/Cobra for the 'monster in front' kind of design.
Boxster or 959/911 for maybe an Eton design.

                              Lot's of possibilities,

Great name and great car. I'm lucky enough to have owned an old Maserati produced under De Tomaso

pretty sure David Carradine drives a Mangusta in Kill Bill
