...scary good for the $24. If all you need are really good sounding cans on a budget - give these a serious consideration.

I had gotten a pair because I noticed I had a credit on my account. Didn't even remember why, but I wanted to try these "good" cheap speakers just cause. Wow, total disappointment. The tweeters are almost painful to listen too. The woofers sounded boomy. I added a little stuffing behind the ports and it improved it a little. I used them in the garage for about a year and ended up giving them to my brother. On a old Onkyo stereo receiver, they sound a tad better cutting the treble a little and hitting the loudness button. Still pretty poor sounding IMO, but my brother likes them, so I guess it's a plus.
Not saying the monoprice headphones aren't nice, but reviews can be hit or miss. Too many times, it's a miss. The overall goal seems to be, say something positive, no matter what.

Re: Monoprice 8323 headphones...
Thanks for the info Johnny. I ordered a few... my BOSE tri-port ear surrounds are all torn up, and I have a nephew who would like these.
Incidentally, have you listened to them yourself or just know folks who have?

Re: Monoprice 8323 headphones...
They're easy enough to modify—a lot of other cheap headphones don't come apart with screws. Damping the ear cups behind the drivers is cheap and improves the sound and isolation. I just used little bits of Peel & Seal and stuffed some Safe 'n' Sound in there. Maybe some kind of liquid rubber or silicone would be better, I couldn't say since I'm happy enough with them as they are (modified). You can replace the ear pads easily enough, a lot of generic ones for the V6/DT250 fit. They also make good recipients for drivers from other headphones with broken headbands and such.

I'm not opposed to a $30 pair of phones doing a nice job, your endorsement is enough for me to give them a try for sure.
I buy quite a few things that folks on here recommend as being good... I've found some real gems on here!
Thanks, Johnny.
