If you're really careful with the XO I would think you could. The 70-10 needs to stay above 2800 LR4.

We use a ribbon with the C158-8-085 in a few of our models without any special attention to the upper resonance. LR4 at ~2200Hz to the RAAL 70-20XR makes for a very engaging and non-fatiguing driver pairing.
I could see where trying to push it any higher might be an issue. There is a distortion spike around that resonance point which I'd want to avoid.

They seem to work well in taming the 3.5- 4khz resonance in the Midbass cones.
For example, the C158 (according to a friend who tried crossing too high)has real audible issues if crossed too close, which is a shame if you wanted to use a ribbon

I have a pair of C173-6-90s stashed away for a rainy day, a pair of C51s would be the perfect bridge between them and either the OEM or small RAAL.
