    AE Speakers still......? TD8M....

    It's been years since the td8 was mentioned , every time you ask about it you get ***** ,it's still not on their product page ,yet tonight I see where there is going to be a DIY stand mount speaker using it with the FaitalPro HF108 cd, can't find pricing on the cd , this might be the 8" people have been waiting for if its affordable and happens in our lifetime ?

    You can order TD8Ms from AE, in fact I have some sitting next to me right now...

    Although in classic AE form it took me 9 months to get them. I ordered 4, received 2 so far, still waiting on the other two which I am told will be shipping early next year. I haven't used them yet but they had better be worth it.

      Their motors are second to none. They are incredibly linear, powerful. Their 6" was not quite up to the level of the larger drivers, but if the 8" is anything like the TD10M, it will be a wonderful driver.

      If you have a pair of them already, break them in and get some measurements.

        Definitely. I also have a trio of TD12Ms that are absolutely awesome. I have no doubt the TD8s will be just as amazing. I forked out the extra cash for the apollo upgrade on all the drivers I have purchased from John. The are undoubtedly world class drivers I just wish they didn't take so long to make.

        Its probably for the best though, every time a new set of speakers come in the mail, no matter the source, I always tell my wife "it must be that pair of speakers I ordered from Acoustic elegance ___ months ago." :D
