Yeah, I see that now. Different resolution on home laptop versus browser window at work. Like I said, I typically have my browser window only cover 2/3 of the screen width so I can see other stuff on the screen at the same time and I find it makes it more readable. At work I get side scrolling. I'm probably in the minority, but I typically don't see a need for over 800x600 or 1024x768 on a forum.

I have those coaxes in the front doors of my altima. They sound nice enough to me - can't say the same about the 6x9 in the same series. I'm almost scared to see how they measure.

Ok, cool. I'm a gamer, so I have high res monitors and way over the top hardware for forum browsing lol.

Haha, you and me both. It's good to hear they sound decent at least.

            small update
i have the same professor for all 4 of my classes semester, so i have a test every day this week. i have friday off so i should be able to keep my word from the last post about the pictures. we're also moving into the house soon and it's been crazy lately. i was also advised to make measurements of the coaxial driver before i spend lots of time and effort on the rest of the build. i'll cut a baffle and and make a quick "facade" with the big chamfer and roundovers to make sure it's going to work.

i finally cut some wood today, well just one piece, haha. busy day, final inspection is done on the house and we'll start moving in this weekend! that also means i won't be cutting any wood the next few days, but i don't have a test everyday next week so i'll have time to cut some more wood. i also need to dig around the storage units and find my measurement gear.

well, we're finally moved into the new house, i chose to start this thread at a very bad time haha. the garage/workshop is now completely filled with boxes and bins. i might just go buy myself a sheet of mdf and have it cut up then come home and trim up the pieces tomorrow since it's my birthday and i can tell everyone to suck it up lol

                          sawdust
i finally got some wood cut! everything is on the money except the tops, bottoms, and braces are only 1mm off! also did a mockup to see how fracking huge they're going to be and they're going to be fracking huge. finally I will definitely need to do the crossovers externally because there will be little to no room inside the cabs for crossovers. i will move on to the router work over the weekend possibly, we're still very busy with moving and getting settled into the new house.

finally got the "workshop" cleaned up and organzed, and got some panels glued up! i also cut holes in the braces, but they're kinda ugly, i'm going to clean them up and then apply a 1/4" round over to make them a little prettier, not like they'll ever been seen. anyway, here's a couple pictures from instagram, they're not dslr quality, though.

Thanks! If it turns out nearly as good as my last passively crossed-over speaker, it'll be very nice. The last one had very good directivity and pretty efficient drivers. I'm hoping the coax isn't too terrible.
