The place I bought from goes by the mysterious name of Hot Spring Hardwoods. There is another one near Hot Springs Village called Deano's Hardwood. Bob Brines buys his supplies there.
There has to be some lumber places in Little Rock if not Conway.

You guys crack me up. Are these places top secret or do they have names.:p I assume that the one in Hot Springs is Hot Springs Hardwood supply, but if there are places in Conway or LR that would be easier.

No luck on the Corian. The going price seems to be about $30 per square foot for a 30 square foot chunk

I order my mahogany from a woodshop in Hot Springs. They carry Cherry and Walnut but Mahogany has to be ordered.

Where did that nice mahogany come from?
I am also looking for Corian I don’t need much but I would like to select the color so that might rule out scraps.

That is cool since the power supplies seem to be quite elusive. I think the same guy that Mark got his TA2020 board from has a nice SMPS for less than 15 bucks!

Nice to see some life here! I am without home computer for a bit, kids crashed it. I can build any of you guys a good power supply for those cass D amps. I have a pile of good transformers, high amp wallwarts etc. I would be happy to thin out my stash! Email @ [email protected] and I will update you guys soon on some pics of what I am doing!

i think your right on that one, but the little sure amp shows to only do about 5W in to 8 ohms at low distortion. I emailed Mark a bunch of questions about his amp from Hot Springs. I also noticed that the description for the sure wall wart says it is recommended for the 15w amp, and that the specs for the 15w are about the same as the 25w.

I think 25 watts is more than we were listening with in hot springs. I mean what was actually being applied to the speakers. I have an 80 watt acurus on them in my office and its way excessive. (well maybe not as excessive as your smithereens!)The wall wart thing worries me too though. Thats why I ended up buying the acurus on ebay for ~$80 IIRC.

OK curiosity is killing me. I keep looking at the 25w Sure amp and thinking it would save a lot of time and make a great gift. This leaves me with 2 questions. #1 do you think it would do a reasonable job of pushing some Overnight Sensations, and #2 does PE have a decent wall wart to power the thing. I know the wall wart question is a little elementary, but better safe than sorry. The last time I tried to use a wall wart it sounded like 60hz kazoo so I am a little squeamish.

We need to get Tom and Bill to post some pics

Yeah Bill and I were busy sunday. We certainly achieved a lot more In a day than I would have imagined. He has a system down and using the biscuits makes gluing up much easier. I currently have in process at several levels of incompletion 4 pair of speakers and one center channel. I should be a poster boy for ritalin.

Hipster, Lefty got his XT25s this weekend. I am going to head to st. Louis for Thanksgiving so that will be the first time I am going to be in your neck of the woods. If you are heading to Little Rock give me a yell. We will catch a beer and a sndwich.

Tom and I made some sawdust this weekend.

I keep checking in. I am hoping to start a new project soon. I still have to finish my tiny rs125-4 towers. I think I am going to have to hunt down some measurements and see where my crossover has gone wrong. After that I was hoping to do an opamp preamp with active sub crossover and remote volume control. I have been poking around thinking up lots of projects. Hopefully as these projects start happening there will be enough interest here that we can all help with each other’s questions although I may have the most questions ;)
