I order my mahogany from a woodshop in Hot Springs. They carry Cherry and Walnut but Mahogany has to be ordered.

You guys crack me up. Are these places top secret or do they have names.:p I assume that the one in Hot Springs is Hot Springs Hardwood supply, but if there are places in Conway or LR that would be easier.

No luck on the Corian. The going price seems to be about $30 per square foot for a 30 square foot chunk
        Thanks'

The place I bought from goes by the mysterious name of Hot Spring Hardwoods. There is another one near Hot Springs Village called Deano's Hardwood. Bob Brines buys his supplies there.
There has to be some lumber places in Little Rock if not Conway.

                      "No luck on the Corian."

Call countertop companies. They will usually sell you the blanks from sink cutouts for about $30 each if not less. If you are building two ways, then one sink cutout is probably adequate. Be careful! That stull is nasty to work with!!

Okay Tom, I won't have them done this weekend but by the end of next I should unless I get lazy. Have all four cabinets with the holes cut. Have to round off the front baffle edge, do a final sand, oil, install crossover/speakers and wire. Gettin' a little antsy to hear them. Kind of a neat concept going so low with the tweet to only need a second order crossover for a MTM. Dave was always good about building the best crossover with the fewest parts. Less in the signal path and on my wallet.
Tom, I have been reading the posts on the Klipsch 6.5". Looks like the one guy is going to do a MTM with the Vifa 3/4" silk neo. He is going to pay for the crossover however because of the break-up. I think you were very smart to go with the SB Acoustic tweet, crossover much lower, it is cheaper on sale then the Vifa and the crossover should be cheaper. You going to do a MTM with them?
Back to work and making sawdust.

I haven't quite figured out what I want to do with them--kinda waiting to see what shakes down. I had a great, although somewhat chilly, weekend on the lake. I certainly liked that vifa tweeter at the get together but I don't think those two drivers will do well together with the 5k breakup on the woofer. The rs tweeter is another thought but I needed (?) to make an order with madisound and...

Buy the SB Acoustic ofr $19 while they are around, the RS tweet if $40 plus. Knock, knock anybody home McFly? Or you could do the HiVi K1 but in the long run I bet the SB Acoustic cost you less with the crossover.
Starting to get cool at night. Makes for good sleeping if you have a warm enough sleeping bag. Freeze those insects I say.

OK so I just got some of those little 25w T amps from Arjen Helder, but it may be a few weeks before I mess with them. I am also waiting on one of those stupid remote control widgets to get here.
                              Thanks'

                                Hi all,

I was wondering if there was going to be another Hot Springs, Arkansas DIY Get Together. I would really like to attend if there is one.

                                Thanks... Thom
