  • I'm certainly no chemist, but Doug and I spent a lot of time talking about all the different compounds and what they do. Zalytron used to use a boro-silicate compound on the inside of their cabinets and on the driver's frame, I would think it's something similar. Yeah, it's expensive, so maybe a DIY solution is in order. The gray VB-1 looked a lot like thin-set mortar, about the same thickness/viscosity. I've seen and used similar solutions from other companies, but Cascade has outperformed those other damping products, both the liquid type and peel 'n stick sheets. Especially in my nephew's car, where he'd used Dynamat before. Let me know what you come up with.
